Mr. Jordan has over thirty-five years of experience in architecture preceded by an extensive background in construction. His primary duties include site selection, design, government entitlements, financing, construction oversight, project budgets and overall decision making responsibilities.
Mr. Jordan’s vast experience includes professional office buildings, high density residential projects, mixed use projects, retail facilities, hotels, restaurants, industrial, light industrial, self storage, and specialty projects: such as museums and theme parks.
Mr. Jordan is also recognized as an expert in the area of self storage, having designed over a thousand self storage projects nationwide. He has won several awards for his designs including: the “2008 Facility of the Year” for both Construction and Conversion; “2007 Specialty Storage Winner”; “2006 New Facility of the Year”; three awards in 2004 in the categories of “Overall Facility of the Year”, “Construction”, and “Conversion”; “2003 New Facility of the Year”; “2001 New Facility of the Year”, and “1999 Facility of the Year”. Mr. Jordan has been in the forefront of many design innovations for self storage including site design, aesthetics, zoning trends, and operational enhancements. He is particularly skilled at government entitlement work and is widely recognized as an authority in project entitlements and government approvals. Mr. Jordan is a sought after speaker and author regarding entitlement issues and self storage design and development. Mr. Jordan is frequently called upon to consult on all aspects of self storage development including; financing, entitlements, construction issues and feasibility studies.
